The lookout tower at the top of Planina Hill (733m) is 22 m high and is
one of the tallest freestanding wooden structures in Slovenia. This is the fourth
lookout tower standing at this place and it was built in 2008. When you climp up to the top you are rewarded with the most beautiful view. On clear days the view extends all the way to Mount Triglav in the Alps.
Planina Hill near Vrhnika is one of the most popular hiking destinations in the Ljubljana area. After you conquer the 400 m ascent you can enjoy refreshments at the lodge as you plan your next hike.
